We rescued our dog, Phoebe, from them, and the staff were the sweetest most accommodating people. Our visit was filled with joy, laughter, and some tears when we picked up our new family member. You can definitely tell how much love the staff has for the animals they care for. Although that love has resulted in them taking in a lot more animals than they should at times, we would adopt from them again given the opportunity.
This shelter does a tremendous amount of good with the little they have. I have never been to a shelter where the animals are actually happy. The animals at the Humane Society of the Delta know they are safe and loved. Bless this shelter, the animals, and the people that run it!
Awesome place, especially when you consider what they have to work with. These ladies are saints in this county! The dogs are well taken care of, and the staff never turns a dog away. There is always room for an animal in need at Humane Society of the Delta.
The Humane Society of the Delta is amazing. I love to follow up with the stories that they have on their Facebook page. The wonders they work with some of the animals they take in from the harshest conditions is honestly unbelievable. I have a couple of dogs of my own or i would have adopted some of those sweet pups. Highly recommend you taking time to check them out!
The Humane Society of the Delta is a one of a kind place. They run completely off donations and despite all of the obstacles they face, they have saved thousands of dogs lives and have never given up. The women who run it and their staff go above and beyond to care for the dogs and cats. They have so many amazing dogs and cats waiting for their forever home! I look forward to volunteering as often as I can there and I can’t wait for the day I can adopt from them.
